Anshu Gupta is the Founder of Goonj, an internationally acclaimed nonprofit redefining the role of clothing and urban surplus in development. Known as the Clothing Man of India, he pioneered the idea of using underutilised material as a tool to trigger large scale rural community-led development. With over two decades of impactful work, he has created a unique model of a parallel economy rooted in dignity and empathy. For his transformative vision, Mr. Anshu received the 2015 Ramon Magsaysay Award among many global recognitions.
