Ghazipur Literature Festival presented by Bharat Dialogues welcomes Dilip Giri as our esteemed speaker. He is the founder and president of the Girmitiya Foundation, a cultural organisation dedicated to tracing and preserving the histories of Girmitiya communities and the Indian indenture diaspora. A freelance writer, social worker and film maker, he has produced the short film Girmitiya and works to connect diaspora communities with their ancestral roots in India. Through cultural programmes, heritage walks and educational initiatives, he champions recognition, remembrance and transnational dialogue among Girmitiya descendants across continents.
