With over three decades of leadership in Electronics and IT, Dr. Rai is a renowned technocrat and policy strategist. As former Director General of Software Technology Parks of India (2010–2021) and Executive Chairman of Startup Odisha (2022–2024), he transformed India’s IT and startup ecosystem through innovation, policy execution and Centres of Entrepreneurship in emerging technologies. An alumnus of BHU, he is a recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award, D.sc (Honoris causa) and the Digital Icon Award for his outstanding contributions to industry and nation-building.
