Ghazipur Literature Festival, presented by Bharat Dialogues, is delighted to welcome Remon Bhagwandin, the celebrated Dutch–Surinamese guitarist, composer, and songwriter, as one of our distinguished performers. With a career spanning continents, Remon is known for blending Hindustani melodies with Caribbean rhythms and Western genres like salsa, reggae, and Latin rock. Founder and former bandleader of the Hindi pop band Shakti, he has also been a long-time collaborator with singer-poet Raj Mohan, enchanting audiences across the globe. A recipient of multiple cultural honors for promoting Indo-Caribbean music, Remon’s soulful artistry continues to bridge cultures through melody and emotion.
