Shri Manoj Sinha has been steering Jammu & Kashmir as its Lieutenant Governor since August 7, 2020, tapping into his razor‑sharp administrative DNA. A civil engineer from IIT‑BHU turned BJP stalwart, he represented Ghazipur in the Lok Sabha three times—in 1996, 1999 and 2014—earning a reputation for tireless rural outreach and result-driven governance. As Union Minister of State (Railways from 2014, Communications from 2016), Sinha delivered the broadband rollout (BharatNet), launched India Post Payments Bank, and pushed key railway projects in eastern UP and Bihar. In 2024, The Indian Express named him among the 100 Most Powerful Indians, a testament to his quiet authority, sharp execution, and transformative leadership in one of India’s most complex regions.
