Ghazipur Lit Fest presented by Bharat Dialogues is glad to welcome Kamila Junik as our esteemed speaker. Kamila Junik is an assistant professor at Jagiellonian University, Kraków, specializing in South Asian languages, cultures and politics. An indologist and cultural studies scholar, she holds an MA in Oriental philology and Middle Eastern cultural studies, as well as a PhD in literary studies. Kamila is a translator and interpreter of Urdu and Hindi, with expertise in legal, criminal, and immigration contexts. Her research explores socio-political conflicts, religious issues, women’s activism and contemporary art in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. She has authored scholarly articles, translations and expert reports driven by a passion for the rich cultural and literary tapestry of South Asia.
