Anu Shakti Singh

Ghazipur Lit Fest presented by Bharat Dialogues is glad to welcome Anu Shakti Singh as our esteemed speaker. Anu Shakti Singh is a Delhi-based writer and feminist rights activist from Saharsa, Bihar. She has published two novels, Sharmishtha and Stapu, and is known for her compelling storytelling. With a background in broadcast media, she has worked with BBC, Radio Netherlands, Zee Media, and Sulabh International. Her poetic work earned her the Bihar Yuva Puraskar and Vidyapati Puraskar in 2019, and her debut novel Sharmishtha received the Amar Ujala Shabd Samman 'Thaap' in 2021. Anu’s writing explores gender, identity, and social issues, making her a vital voice in contemporary Indian literature.
